Jaggery

Jaggery is an unprocessed sugar product made in Asia and Africa. It has a sweet fragrance and a taste similar to brown sugar or molasses. Made from cane sugar juice or palm juice, it is more nutritious than processed sugar, because it is not spun during processing to remove the nutritious molasses.
